Adam's career started in the tax and trust department of the private banking division of a large UK Plc where, over a ten year period, he gained a great deal of experience in private client work for wealthy individuals.
Adam is a Chartered Tax Adviser who joined Shaws in 1997 when he returned to Birmingham from Leeds. He was promoted to Director in 2004 and he is now in charge of the Corporate & Consultancy team He takes a keen interest in corporate transactional work as tax planning associated with mergers and acquisitions, MBO's and MBI's as well as corporate reconstructions and partitions are all vitally important to our client base.
Adam also looks at bespoke tax planning structures for entrepreneurs and firmly believes in the 'life cycle' tax planning approach, beginning with the asset purchase and holding structure, debt structuring and ongoing transactional planning, followed by the implementation of a tax efficient exit strategy.
